A House in Bali premieres in Boston & New York

Evan Ziporyn's new opera A House in Bali, described by the San Francisco Chronicle as "an ingenious and often beautiful fusion of contemporary classical strains and Balinese gamelan," is soon to make its way to the East Coast. Performed by the Bang on a Can All-Stars & Gamelan Salukat, A House in Bali tells the story of Canadian composer Colin McPhee and his immersion into Balinese music and culture through his east meets west memoirs.
