With "The Little Match Girl", Macadam Ensemble makes an original show based on Hans-Christian Andersen's famous tale. From the descriptive elements of the tale and its symbolism, the music of David Lang, Pelle Gudmundsen-Holmgreen, Michael Gordon and Arvo Pärt participate in the construction of a magnificent choral painting, supported by the video creation of Nathalie Guimbretière. Around the composer David Lang's masterpiece "The Little Match Girl Passion", the works of this concert contribute to the construction of an incredible soundscape, from the streets of Copenhagen to the most intimate corners of the psychology of the little girl matches.
