JASON TREUTING Amid the Noise
Powerhouse new-music ensemble Sō Percussion makes their Dallas debut performing the Texas premiere of Julia Wolfe’s Forbidden Love and joins students from across Dallas to perform the signature piece Amid the Noise by the ensemble’s own Jason Treuting. Wolfe’s composition brings the string quartet into the percussion realm, and the final work is a communal music-making project, featuring musicians of the DSO Young Strings Program, which maintains its identity and integrity through wildly different realizations.
